March 10 - Vineyards

Our experience in the vineyards

John 15:1 "I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser.
Truly a learning experience. I want to share some of our friend, Daniel's thoughts. The disciple John tells us in John 15 that Yeshua is the true vine and the Father is the vinedresser. The vines we were working with were already pruned. In the above picture, Cal is playing the part of the Father as the vinedresser. In the picture you can see the thicker, older part of the vine and you can see as he is "dressing" the vine, bending the branches around the wire that they may become fruitful.
Before the branches are forced to yield by bending around the wire they are straight and knobby. We had to crack each joint in order to bend the branch around the wire. This is like taking our man-made traditions and ways that are contrary to the ways of the Father and yielding them up to the vinedresser. Sometimes instead of yielding, the branch actually cracked and broke. Then it became useless.
Beautifully yielded!
The vine and the branches with a section perfectly dressed and ready to leaf out and be fruitful!

Another variety of vines which are flourishing!

Already becoming fruitful!
John 15:2 "Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit.

Pear trees. They are covered with a netting that holds in the humidity.

Wheat field

Notice the wheat as it matures. It begins to bow. This is how one could finally begin to tell the difference between wheat and the tares. The wheat bows as it matures, whereas the tares continue to stand straight. This is only apparent as you approach the harvest.

  1. We need to be supple in order for YHWH to bend us without breaking. Very interesting. Thank you.
